Company History

Checko’s Printing first opened its doors in February of 2000. Our founder had worked and managed for a nationally recognized copying and printing center, but had grown tired of the corporate attitudes and growing disconnection from the local businesses and community. Gathering his son and several other like-minded individuals, he struck out to create a locally based printing center with a true focus on people and business in the San Antonio area.

Starting from a small location with only a handful of machines by Loop 410 and Marbach Road, Checko’s focus on quality, speed and attention to our customers has caused us to continue to grow and expand. Each time we outgrew the location we were in, we moved to a larger space that was better suited to help us serve our customers. As of May 2015, we have moved to our permanent home at 7854 Fortune Drive.

The story of any business can be told through its employees. Checko’s has been home to many driven and hard-working individuals that all understand that our customers are the priority. While some of the original team has moved on, the core family leadership remains and continues to drive and support us in serving our customers needs. This support and drive enables us to keep our well-trained staff longer than many larger companies do, and has given us a team with a combined over 75 years of experience.

Over the years we have served businesses large and small in the San Antonio area and beyond; doing printing for universities, school districts, hospitals, medical clinics, doctor’s offices, bakeries, daycares and many more. We are grateful to every customer that trusts us to take care of their printing needs. We realize that there are many printers out there and are glad that so many feel as we do about our company and choose to become part of our ongoing history.
